Las Vegas Breweries 2026: Taprooms Worth Leaving the Strip For

Las Vegas's breweries are almost all off the Strip, and the best place to find them is the Arts District just south of downtown, where four taprooms sit within a short walk of each other on and around Main Street. This guide covers the breweries that brew their own beer, with addresses and hours from their own sites, and a route for a walking crawl. For beer bars and bottle shops, see our craft beer guide.

Breweries at a Glance

The Arts District: A Walkable Brewery Cluster

The Arts District, around Main Street and Charleston Boulevard, is the easiest place for visitors to drink local beer. It's a short rideshare from the Strip or downtown, and once you're there you can walk between taprooms.

Hop Nuts Brewing

At 1120 South Main Street, Hop Nuts pours 20 beers, 15 of them brewed in house, plus a full bar with cocktails and wine. It opens at noon Monday to Thursday (until 11 p.m.) and at 11 a.m. Friday to Sunday, staying open until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Happy hour runs daily from 4 to 6 p.m. Crowlers, growlers and four-packs are sold to go.

Nevada Brew Works

A brewpub at 1327 South Main Street, with a second location at Boca Park in Summerlin (820 South Rampart Boulevard). It serves food as well as its own beer, and both locations are open from 11 a.m. until midnight Sunday to Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, which makes it the easiest brewery for a late meal.

Able Baker Brewing

Able Baker's downtown brewery and taproom is at 1510 South Main Street, open from 11:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Its second location, the Bomb Shelter in Centennial Hills (6371 Centennial Center Boulevard), is a restaurant and brewery with a full kitchen and weekend brunch.

CraftHaus Arts District Taproom

CraftHaus, better known for its Henderson brewery, runs a 24-tap taproom at 197 East California Street, a block off Main. The kitchen serves European sausages, cheese and charcuterie, and spent-grain pretzel rolls with beer cheese. The patio welcomes dogs, and the taproom is non-smoking and family-friendly. It opens at 11:30 a.m. daily, closing between 9 and 11 p.m. depending on the day.

Tenaya Creek Brewery

Founded in 1999, Tenaya Creek is one of the city's longest-running breweries, now at 831 West Bonanza Road, a short drive north-west of the Arts District near downtown. Year-round beers include Hop Ride IPA, Bonanza Brown Ale, Tenaya Pilsner, 702 Pale Ale, Gypsy Fade IPA and Hauling Oats, with seasonals such as an Oktoberfest lager and Old Jackalope barleywine. Food trucks visit on a rotating schedule. It opens at 11 a.m. (10 a.m. on Sunday) and stays open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Breweries Around the Valley

CraftHaus Brewery, Henderson

The original CraftHaus brewery is at 7350 Eastgate Road in Henderson, where big windows look onto the brewhouse and fermenters. It is family-friendly, with board games and a large car park, and serves cheese plates, charcuterie and pretzels with beer cheese. Hours are shorter than downtown: 4 to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. CraftHaus also runs brewery tours; book through its site.

Lovelady Brewing, Henderson

A family-run brewery at 20 South Water Street in downtown Henderson, with a dog-friendly outdoor patio for leashed pets and crowlers of anything on tap to take away. It opens in the afternoon on weekdays (2 p.m. on Monday, 1 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday) and at noon on weekends.

Big Dog's Brewing Company, Northwest

Big Dog's, which calls itself Las Vegas's original craft brewery, is a brewery, restaurant and bar at 4543 North Rancho Drive, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. House beers include Las Vegas Craft Lager and Black Lab Stout, with a full menu of burgers, wings and Midwestern comfort food, weekend brunch and a weekday happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. It's family-friendly, and leashed dogs are welcome on the Front Porch patio.

Ellis Island, near the Strip

Ellis Island Casino, Hotel & Brewery on Koval Lane, a block east of the Strip, brews its own beer and is the closest brewery to most Strip hotels. It's a locals' casino with several restaurants, so it works for a cheap meal and a house beer without a long ride.

An Arts District Brewery Crawl

All four Arts District taprooms are within about half a mile of each other. Start in the afternoon and eat along the way.

1. CraftHaus Arts District Taproom, 197 East California Street: start with a flight and a pretzel.
2. Hop Nuts Brewing, 1120 South Main Street: a couple of blocks away; time it for the 4 to 6 p.m. happy hour.
3. Nevada Brew Works, 1327 South Main Street: dinner and a pint.
4. Able Baker Brewing, 1510 South Main Street: finish here; it's open until 11 p.m., or 1 a.m. at weekends.

Do it on the first Friday of the month and you'll overlap with First Friday, the free art walk from 5 to 11 p.m., which brings food trucks, galleries and crowds to the district. Take a rideshare home; don't drive.

Tips for Visiting

• Order a flight first to try several beers before committing to a pint.
• Check the tap list online. Most breweries post current beers and seasonal releases on their sites.
• Kids and dogs: CraftHaus and Big Dog's describe themselves as family-friendly, and CraftHaus's taproom, Lovelady and Big Dog's have dog-friendly patios. Ask elsewhere before you bring either.
• Summer: from June to September, patios are for after sunset. Taprooms are air-conditioned.
• Taking beer home: many breweries fill crowlers and growlers or sell cans. Carry them in checked luggage if flying.
• Get there and back safely. Breweries are spread out and Las Vegas roads are wide and fast. Use a rideshare, or pick the Arts District and walk.
