The Strip runs on chain coffee: every resort has a Starbucks or a hotel café, and they're fine for a quick cup. For coffee worth crossing town for, head to the Arts District, downtown or the suburbs, where local roasters run their own cafés. A short ride from the Strip gets you a much better flat white.
We checked each café below against its own website in September 2026. Most local cafés close in the mid-afternoon, so go in the morning.

Arts District and Downtown
Vesta Coffee Roasters
Vesta roasts its own coffee and describes itself as "passionate about sourcing, roasting, and brewing the highest quality specialty coffees from around the world". Its Arts District café, at 1114 S Casino Center Boulevard, #1, has the roastery on site and opens seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is the best starting point for a morning in the district. Vesta has three more cafés:
- Sahara & Fort Apache (9031 W Sahara Ave): daily 6:30 a.m.–4 p.m., with a bakery and a drive-thru.
- Durango Casino & Resort, lobby (6915 S Durango Dr): daily 6 a.m.–6 p.m., with the largest pastry selection of its cafés.
- Durango food hall: 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and until 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, the latest hours of any Vesta café.
Makers & Finders
A café and restaurant at 1120 S Main Street, Suite 110, in the Arts District, serving coffee drinks alongside "hand-crafted cocktails, beers, wines" and "an inventive Latin inspired breakfast menu", with gluten-free dishes and a reputation for vegan options. Try its Mexican spiced latte. It opens Monday to Saturday 7 a.m.–4 p.m., with Sunday brunch 8 a.m.–4 p.m. A second branch, at 75 S Valle Verde Drive, #260, in Henderson, opens daily 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
Mothership Coffee Roasters (Fremont East)
Mothership's downtown café is at Fergusons, 1028 E Fremont Street, a short walk from the El Cortez and the bars of Fremont East. See Mothership below for its other cafés.

Mothership Coffee Roasters
Mothership hand-roasts its coffee in Las Vegas and runs six cafés. It is a woman-owned and Latina-owned company led by CEO Juanny Romero, and says it buys beans from women-owned farms; its "Sip with Purpose" programme directs part of its proceeds to local nonprofits.
| Café | Address |
|---|---|
| Fergusons Downtown | 1028 E Fremont St |
| The Bend (Southwest) | 8740 W Sunset Rd |
| Summerlin | 1980 Festival Plaza Dr, Downtown Summerlin |
| Sunrise Coffee | 3130 E Sunset Rd |
| St. Rose | 2625 St Rose Pkwy, Henderson |
| Green Valley | 2708 N Green Valley Pkwy, Henderson |

West, Summerlin and the South Valley
Sambalatte
A local coffee house with two cafés and an outpost at Harry Reid International Airport:
- Boca Park (750 S Rampart Blvd, Suite 9): Sunday to Thursday 7 a.m.–6 p.m., Friday and Saturday 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Close to Downtown Summerlin and on the way to Red Rock Canyon.
- Molasky Center (100 N City Pkwy, downtown): Monday to Thursday 7 a.m.–3 p.m.; closed Friday to Sunday and on holidays.
Bad Owl Coffee Roasters
A local roaster with cafés at 8035 S Rainbow Boulevard, #100, in the southwest valley, and 10575 S Eastern Avenue, #160, in Henderson. Its site doesn't show hours in a form we could check, so look them up before a visit.
Heading to Red Rock?
Vesta's Sahara & Fort Apache café (with a drive-thru, from 6:30 a.m.) and Sambalatte at Boca Park are both on the way west to Red Rock Canyon, which makes them a good early stop before a hike.
Coffee on the Strip
There is no independent specialty roaster café on the Strip itself. Your options are the resorts' own cafés and the chains, which are everywhere. For something better:
- Take a short ride. The Arts District is a short drive north of the central Strip; Vesta and Makers & Finders are two blocks apart.
- Buy beans. Vesta and Mothership both sell their coffee, so you can make it in your room if it has a coffee maker.
- Check your room. Some Strip rooms have no coffee maker at all; ask when you book, or look for a kettle or machine in the room description.
Tips
- Go early. Most independent cafés close between 3 and 4 p.m.
- Working remotely? Cafés with longer hours, such as Vesta at Durango and Sambalatte at Boca Park, are easier for an afternoon on a laptop. Buy something every couple of hours.
- Iced is standard. From May to September, most people order cold brew or iced drinks; the heat makes a walk with a hot coffee unpleasant.
- Pair it with breakfast. For more ideas, see our breakfast guide and bakeries guide.
