Food trucks in Las Vegas are a locals' thing. You will not find them lined up along the Strip; they work the Arts District, breweries, office parks, markets, sports events and private parties, and they move every day. That makes a list of "the 20 best trucks" out of date the week it is written, so this guide focuses on where and how to find trucks, plus a few truck-born businesses you can rely on. It was checked in September 2026.

Where to Find Food Trucks

First Friday in the Arts District

The most dependable place to eat from several trucks at once. First Friday is a free monthly art walk on the first Friday of every month from 5 to 11 p.m., based at 1025 South 1st Street in the Arts District near Main Street. Organizers promise local food trucks alongside live painting, galleries, vendors and live music. The October 2026 event is on October 2.

Breweries and bars

Many of the valley's taprooms have no kitchen and host a rotating truck instead, especially in the Arts District and Henderson. Check the brewery's own event calendar for who is parked outside that night. Our breweries guide lists the taprooms.

Markets, festivals and events

Weekend markets, including several farmers markets, often have a truck or two, and larger festivals and concerts bring dozens. Downtown's Ferguson's Downtown, a converted motel on Fremont Street East, hosts regular makers' markets and community events.

Office parks at lunch

On weekdays, trucks rotate through business parks in the southwest valley, Henderson and around downtown government offices. These stops are aimed at workers, so they are only worth planning around if you are already nearby.

How to Track a Truck

  • Follow the truck directly. Most trucks post the day's location on their own social media accounts or website, usually in the morning. This is the only reliable source.
  • Check the host. Breweries, markets and event organizers usually list the trucks booked for each date.
  • Use a tracking site cautiously. National food truck directories list Las Vegas trucks, but schedules there are only as current as the truck makes them.
  • Have a backup. Trucks cancel for breakdowns, weather or sold-out stock. Pick a destination with other food nearby.

Truck-Born Favorites You Can Rely On

Some of the city's best-known casual restaurants began on wheels. They are easier to visit than a roaming truck because they have fixed addresses and hours.

Fukuburger

Fukuburger calls itself Las Vegas's first gourmet food truck. It serves all-American burgers with a Japanese twist, such as the Tamago burger with an egg on top. Today it has two restaurants: 3429 S. Jones Blvd in Chinatown, open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., and 7365 S. Buffalo Dr. in the southwest. The truck itself now works only prepaid private catering.

Tacotarian

An entirely plant-based taqueria with six Las Vegas locations, including the Arts District and the Miracle Mile Shops on the Strip. Its tacos use house-made seitan and jackfruit, from al pastor and carne asada to birria, and its "giant taco" is the one people photograph.

Tacos El Gordo

Not a truck, but it is the taco stand that visitors most often mean when they ask about street food. The Tijuana-style taquería has a location on the north Strip at 3041 S. Las Vegas Blvd and more around the valley. Order the adobada, and plan on three or four small tacos.

What to Expect

  • Prices: usually well below a Strip restaurant but not fast-food cheap. Check the menu board; many trucks post their menus online too.
  • Payment: most trucks take cards and phone payments; carry a little cash in case the reader or signal fails.
  • Seating: depends on the host. Breweries and First Friday have somewhere to sit or stand; an office-park stop usually does not.
  • Lines: popular trucks at big events can take a while. Arrive early; favorite items can sell out.
  • Safety: trucks in the valley operate under Southern Nevada Health District permits, the same agency that inspects restaurants. A permit displayed on the truck is a good sign.

Eating Outdoors in the Heat

From late spring to early fall, daytime temperatures in Las Vegas are dangerous to stand around in. Truck gatherings shift to evenings in summer, and some trucks cut their hours. Go after sunset, bring water, and don't leave leftovers in a hot car. Fall, winter and spring are the comfortable seasons for outdoor eating.

Hiring a Truck for an Event

Many trucks, Fukuburger's included, do private catering for weddings, parties and corporate events. Ask about a minimum spend or guest count, how long they will serve, what they need on site (space, power, access) and whether the venue allows outside vendors. Casino resorts generally do not; private homes, parks and event spaces often do, sometimes with their own permit rules.

Street Food Without a Truck

If you want cheap, quick food near the Strip without hunting for a truck, try Chinatown on Spring Mountain Road, Downtown Container Park's small restaurants at 707 Fremont St. (open until 11 p.m. most nights and 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday; 21+ after 9 p.m.), or casino food halls. Our street food guide and cheap eats guide have more.
