Las Vegas Christmas & Holiday Buffets 2026: What's Open

Holiday buffets in Las Vegas for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's 2026: which buffets are still open, the holiday hours already posted, how to book, and what prices to expect.

7 min read1,384 wordsUpdated 9/27/2026

A holiday buffet is a Las Vegas tradition, but there are far fewer buffets than there used to be, and the ones that survive fill up on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. This guide covers which buffets are open, what they've published for the 2026 holidays, and how to get a table.

How this guide works: it was checked on September 27, 2026. Most buffets publish holiday prices and hours only a few weeks before each holiday, so where a buffet hasn't posted them we give its regular prices and tell you to check. Expect holiday prices to be higher: Wynn, for example, says its prices are subject to change during holidays, holiday weekends and peak periods.

The Buffets Still Open

These are the buffets our Las Vegas buffets guide found operating in 2026. Holiday details are below where they have been published.

Bacchanal Buffet (Caesars Palace)

Caesars describes Bacchanal as more than 25,000 square feet with more than 250 dishes, including seafood, carving and made-to-order stations. Caesars' page had no holiday pricing when we checked.

  • Regular price: an Early Bird Dinner at $69.99, Monday to Thursday, 2:30–4 p.m., with a reservation. Regular brunch and dinner cost more and vary by day. Don't count on the early-bird price on a holiday.
  • Booking: reservations through OpenTable from Caesars' site, or call (702) 731-7928. Groups of 13 or more call (866) 733-5827.
  • Days: Bacchanal doesn't open every day of the week, so confirm it's open on your holiday before you plan around it.

The Buffet at Wynn

  • Regular prices: Gourmet Brunch, daily 8 a.m.–1 p.m., $59.99; Seafood Gourmet Dinner, daily 1–9 p.m., $79.99, plus tax. Children 3–9 are half price.
  • Holidays: Wynn says prices are subject to change during holidays, holiday weekends and peak periods, and hadn't posted 2026 holiday prices when we checked.
  • Booking: Wynn doesn't take regular reservations. It sells priority seating at $5 per person, opening 30 days before the date, for up to six people; it says guests are typically seated within 30 minutes of their priority time. For a holiday, book on the first day it opens. Call +1 (702) 770-3340 with questions.

Wicked Spoon (The Cosmopolitan)

Known for serving its food in small individual portions, and in recent years run as a brunch buffet. MGM Resorts' sites block our automated checks, so confirm holiday days, hours and prices on The Cosmopolitan's dining page.

Garden Buffet (South Point)

South Point, south of the Strip at 9777 Las Vegas Blvd South, is the value choice, and it has already posted 2026 holiday hours for its Garden Buffet:

  • Thanksgiving, November 26: 7 a.m.–9 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, December 24 and 25: 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
  • Holiday menus: South Point also posts Thanksgiving and Christmas 2026 menus for its restaurants, Baja Miguel's, Don Vito's, Primarily Prime Rib and Silverado Steak House, which take holiday reservations on (702) 797-8075. It warns that popular time slots book quickly.
  • Price: check South Point's holiday menu page, or call (702) 796-7111.

Other buffets

MGM Grand and Excalibur run buffets on shorter schedules than before 2020, the Circus Buffet at Circus Circus is a family-friendly budget option, and Downtown's Garden Court Buffet at Main Street Station runs a reduced schedule. None had posted 2026 holiday details that we could find. Check each resort's dining page in November.

Buffets That Have Closed

Older holiday guides still recommend buffets that no longer exist. None of these reopened after the 2020 shutdown, unless noted: The Buffet at Bellagio, The Buffet at ARIA, Le Village Buffet (Paris), Treasure Island's buffet, Flavors (Harrah's), Paradise Garden Buffet (Flamingo), Spice Market Buffet (Planet Hollywood), Bayside Buffet (Mandalay Bay), The Mirage's Cravings (closed with the resort in July 2024) and Luxor's buffet (closed in 2025).

How to Book a Holiday Buffet

  • Know each buffet's system. Bacchanal takes reservations on OpenTable; Wynn sells priority seating 30 days ahead; South Point takes holiday reservations by phone for its restaurants. For the others, ask whether they take bookings or seat walk-ins only.
  • Book as soon as the window opens. Holiday time slots are the first to go, especially mid-afternoon on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
  • Large groups: use the group line (Bacchanal: 13 or more) or book several smaller parties; Wynn's priority seating is capped at six per booking.
  • Walking in: if a buffet seats walk-ins, arrive before it opens or late in the service, and expect a long wait in between.
  • Read the terms. Ask about deposits and cancellation before you book, especially for a big group.

Alternatives to a Buffet

Many resort restaurants serve a set holiday menu on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and these are often easier to book than a buffet. South Point's restaurants are one example with 2026 menus already posted; Strip resorts usually post theirs in November. You get a reservation, a quieter room and no queue; compare the set-menu price with the buffet's holiday price.

On New Year's Day, a late brunch is a gentler option after a long night; see our brunch guide.

Tips for the Day

  • Go early or late. The middle of the afternoon is the busiest time on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  • Walk the whole buffet first, then start with what you can't get elsewhere: seafood, carved meats and the action stations.
  • Check the children's price. Wynn charges half price for ages 3–9; other buffets set their own rules.
  • Budget for tax and tip. Prices are before tax, and a tip for your server of 15–20% is customary.
  • Dress code: casual is fine, but buffets refuse swimwear and bare feet.
