Las Vegas makes a date easy: a dinner with a view, a show and a nightcap can all sit within a few minutes' walk of each other on the center Strip. This guide picks the ideas that work best for couples, from free fountain shows to a tasting-menu splurge, with prices and hours checked on each venue's own site in September 2026. Prices change, so confirm before you book.

Two things have gone since older guides were written: the Mirage volcano (The Mirage closed in July 2024) and Adele's residency at Caesars Palace, which ended in 2024. Plan around what is running now.

Eiffel Tower Restaurant (Paris Las Vegas)

Contemporary French cooking in the half-scale Eiffel Tower, looking across the Strip at the Bellagio fountains. Dinner runs daily from 5 to 10pm and brunch Friday to Sunday from 9am to 1:30pm; the three-course brunch is the cheaper way to get the view. The wine list runs to more than 1,400 French and American labels. Ask for a window table when you book, and time dinner for sunset if you can.

Top of the World (The STRAT)

More than 800 feet above the city, the dining room revolves a full 360 degrees every 80 minutes, so you see the whole valley over a long dinner. From September 1 it opens 4 to 11pm. There is a $55 minimum per guest (one entrée or food of equal value) and a strictly enforced upscale dress code: no athletic wear, beachwear, flip-flops, hats or tank tops.

SW Steakhouse (Wynn)

SW's terrace faces the Lake of Dreams, where Wynn stages short nightly shows of music, lighting and puppetry on the water. Outdoor seating is on request and not guaranteed, so ask when you book. Hours are 5:30 to 10pm Sunday to Thursday and until 10:30pm Friday and Saturday. The dress code is upscale casual (no athletic wear or flip-flops), and children under 5 aren't allowed.

Mon Ami Gabi (Paris Las Vegas)

The more affordable way to watch the fountains over dinner: a French bistro with a patio on the Strip, facing Bellagio. It opens at 7am daily and closes at 10pm (11pm Friday and Saturday), with weekend brunch and a Monday-to-Thursday happy hour from 3 to 5pm. Book on OpenTable or call, and request the patio.

Experiences for Two

Gondola ride at the Venetian

The Venetian runs gondolas both indoors, along the Grand Canal Shoppes, and outdoors on the lagoon facing the Strip (outdoor rides are seasonal and weather-dependent). A ride lasts about 10 to 13 minutes.

Shared gondola: $39 per person, with up to four guests per boat; $34 on select dates from September to December.
Private gondola for two: $156.
Hours: indoor rides 10am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and until midnight Friday and Saturday; outdoor rides 10am to 11pm daily. The last boat leaves 15 minutes before closing.

High Roller at the LINQ

The observation wheel makes one slow, enclosed loop above the center Strip, and is most popular around sunset. Some tickets include an open bar in the cabin for guests 21 and over. Prices vary by time of day, so check Caesars' High Roller page when you book.

A show

Absinthe at Caesars Palace: Spiegelworld's acrobatic variety show in a small tent, with very adult comedy. Shows run Sunday to Thursday at 7 and 9pm, plus 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Great for couples who like to laugh; not for anyone easily offended.

Free and Low-Cost Dates

Bellagio fountains: free shows set to music from the afternoon until midnight, more often after dark. Watch from the sidewalk, or from Mon Ami Gabi's patio across the street. High winds can cancel shows.
Bellagio Conservatory: free, just off the lobby, with floral displays redesigned for each season. Go early or late to avoid crowds.
Wynn's Lake of Dreams: free nightly shows on the lake, best seen with a drink at one of the lakeside bars.

Sunset Outside the City

If you have a car, Red Rock Canyon, about 20 miles west of the Strip, is the classic sunset drive. Entry is $20 per car. From October 1 to May 31 you also need a timed-entry reservation on Recreation.gov for the Scenic Drive between 8am and 5pm; check the closing time for the season so you are not caught inside the loop after dark. Tips for a Smooth Date

Book the anchor first. Pick the show or dinner that matters most, then build around it. Window tables and weekend shows go first.
Mention the occasion when you book an anniversary or birthday dinner; restaurants note it, though nothing extra is guaranteed.
Check the dress code. Top of the World and SW enforce theirs, and most nicer restaurants turn away athletic wear and flip-flops.
Leave travel time. Resorts are huge; walking from a restaurant to a theater in the next resort can take 15 minutes or more.
Mind the heat. In summer, keep outdoor plans to after dark and carry water.
Tip as you would at home: about 20% at restaurants and a dollar or two per drink at bars.
