About
MGM Grand Garden Arena is inside the MGM Grand resort at 3799 South Las Vegas Boulevard, in the part of the building called The District. The arena says it opened on December 31, 1993, and seats up to 16,800.
The arena books concerts, title boxing, other sports and special events, and has hosted music awards shows. It lists more than 100 boxing events in its history, among them Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson and several Floyd Mayweather bouts.
Tickets are sold only through AXS, and AXS Mobile ID is the preferred way in. Premium seating includes semi-private areas with in-seat service. There are no on-site bag lockers, so guests with large bags are sent back to their room or car.
What to expect
Arriving guests walk through MGM Grand's casino to The District. From the Strip entrance, the arena says to head toward the BetMGM Sportsbook and turn right past L'Atelier. From self-parking or rideshare, go up from The Underground to the main lobby, then through the casino past the KÃ box office. The arena entrance is on the left after Blizz. There is lower-level access from Audrie Street and MGM Road.
For concerts, doors generally open 60 minutes before the event. Security checks bags against the 12 by 12 by 6 inch limit, and there is no bag check, so plan ahead. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside, and leaving the arena ends your night: there is no re-entry.
