About
Adele's Las Vegas residency nearly didn't happen on schedule. Weekends with Adele was due to open at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, January 21, 2022, to celebrate her album 30. The day before, she posted a tearful video saying "my show ain't ready," blaming delivery delays and COVID-19 cases among half her crew. Variety reported that hundreds of fans had already traveled for it, and that some reports claimed she had seen the production only days earlier and did not like it.
In July 2022 she announced new dates: 24 rescheduled shows plus 8 new ones, opening November 18, 2022, and running through March 25, 2023, with priority for fans who had held the original tickets. She said she stood by the decision. The residency was extended from there and ran two shows each weekend for two years.
Adele chose the Colosseum because of Celine Dion, who opened the room with her own residency in 2003. Adele said she touched a picture of Dion beside the stage before every show, and when Dion attended on October 26, 2024, she broke down in tears mid-song. At her final show on Saturday, November 23, 2024, her 100th, Adele told the audience she had chosen a residency to keep her son's life normal and that she did not know when she would perform again.
What to expect
Adele has no current Las Vegas residency; Weekends with Adele closed on November 23, 2024, and she said she planned a long break from performing. The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the theater she played, still operates, and its current lineup does not list her.
