About

Carlos Santana has been one of the Strip's steadiest headliners for well over a decade. He first spent two years at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, where, the Las Vegas Weekly reported, 3,000 fans had assigned seats and a giant LED screen played footage of his career. In May 2012 he moved to House of Blues at Mandalay Bay with a show billed as An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live, initially as a two-year residency.

The smaller room changed the feel. The Weekly's 2012 review described House of Blues as more like a big club, with a general-admission floor and the band close enough to feel. The show itself is built on his catalog, from "Black Magic Woman" and "Evil Ways" to "Smooth" and "Maria Maria," with long improvised solos. His wife, drummer Cindy Blackman Santana, plays in the band. Santana told the Review-Journal, "We keep it fresh. We do not regurgitate nostalgia."

The two-year booking never really ended. Santana's own site described the 2026 dates as the residency's 14th year at House of Blues, and he has added runs in January and February, May, September and November 2026, all at 8 p.m. Part of every ticket goes to the Milagro Foundation, which Santana and his family started in 1998 to support children's arts, education and health, and to House of Blues' Music Forward Foundation. Santana has said he will not announce a farewell: "When I'm done, I'm not even going to tell anybody."

What to expect

The residency is current. House of Blues Las Vegas's own site lists "SiriusXM Presents An Intimate Evening with SANTANA Greatest Hits Live" in its Music Hall on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, part of a November run that Fox5 reported as November 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14 and 15. House of Blues is inside Mandalay Bay.
