Exotics Racing runs supercar driving sessions at the SPEEDVEGAS Motorsports Park on Las Vegas Boulevard South, about 15 minutes south of the Strip. Its fleet is listed at over 50 cars from brands including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren, Corvette, Aston Martin, Audi and Mercedes.

The basic supercar experience is priced by laps, starting at 5 laps. Every package includes a technical briefing, two discovery laps as a passenger with a pro in a Porsche SUV, one-on-one coaching in the car, a helmet, and timed laps you can compare online. A racing certificate is available on request.

All the cars are automatics with paddle shifters, so you do not need to drive a manual. No racing experience is needed. The same site also runs go-karts, an off-road Baja truck course, and ride-alongs, including a drifting ride in a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat.

What to expect

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your session. The first 15 minutes are registration, then a 30-minute classroom briefing on safety, passing rules, braking and racing lines. It is required for every driver. Groups of three then ride two discovery laps in a Porsche SUV, one at normal speed and one at the pace you should aim for.

In pit lane you are fitted with a helmet. The instructor assigned to your car gives a 5-10 minute briefing on that car and sits beside you while you drive your laps. The first lap starts as you leave the pits and the last one ends as you return. If you bought the on-board video, you confirm it at the end, then collect your license.

Good to know

  • Bring a government-issued photo ID or passport that matches the name on the booking. Drivers also need a valid driver's license.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes, preferably sneakers. Sandals and high heels are not accepted.
  • Only the driver and instructor ride in the car. Friends can watch from viewing areas, and can join the discovery laps for $20 a person. Personal cameras are not allowed in the cars.
  • Reservations are not refundable. A booking stays valid for 5 years and can be rescheduled. Packages are per driver and cannot be split.
  • Alcohol is not permitted at the track. Snacks and drinks are sold on site.
  • In rain, most cars still run, but the site lists several track-focused models that do not, including the Ferrari 488 Pista and Challenge Evo and Porsche GT3 RS and GT2 RS. If weather closes the track, rescheduling is free.

How much does Exotics Racing cost in Las Vegas?

The official site lists supercar driving experiences from $299 for 5 laps. The price depends on the car and the number of laps. The site also lists a 1-day racing program from $1,990, ride-alongs from $99, and go-kart sessions from $35. Add-ons such as an on-board video and photo package and an optional $49 damage protection plan are sold separately.

How old do you have to be to drive at Exotics Racing?

Drivers must be at least 18 and hold a valid driver's license; a government-issued international license is accepted. Drivers must also be at least 59 inches (150 cm) tall and able to reach and work the pedals, steering and shifters. Guests 11 and older who meet the 59-inch height rule can take a ride-along with a professional driver instead.

The FAQ page, however, says the company does not offer transportation and suggests a taxi or ride-share. Confirm with Exotics Racing at 702-405-7223 before counting on the shuttle.

Can I get a refund from Exotics Racing?

No. The FAQ states reservations are not refundable. An experience stays valid for up to 5 years from purchase and can be rescheduled, though fees apply for track buyouts and Grand Prix-style events. If you cannot make your date, call 702-405-7223 to move it or leave it open-dated. Payment must be made in full before the experience.
