About
Absinthe is an adults-only circus-cabaret produced by Spiegelworld. It plays in a spiegeltent, a German "mirror tent," on the Roman Plaza in front of Caesars Palace. Spiegelworld first opened Absinthe on August 9, 2006, in a spiegeltent on a pier by New York's Brooklyn Bridge.
The host is The Gazillionaire, an outrageous ringmaster. In the show's backstory, he scoured circuses, dive bars and "detention centers" worldwide for his cast. His sharp-tongued banter and crowd work fill the gaps between acrobats and aerialists performing just feet from the audience.
The mix is acrobatics, burlesque and raunchy stand-up comedy. Spiegelworld calls it "unapologetically raunchy." The tent is air-conditioned and sits inside the Green Fairy Garden, an outdoor complex with bars, the Pier 17 Yacht Club speakeasy and No Pants burgers.
What to expect
Spiegelworld describes the staging as 360 degrees and up close, in a tent designed to put the audience in the middle of the action. The show runs about 80 minutes with no intermission. Doors open roughly 15 to 20 minutes before each show. Drinks and food bought in the Green Fairy Garden can come inside, but outside food and drinks cannot.
Expect adult language, sexual humor and some acts that involve audience interaction or physical contact. Spiegelworld warns that sound and lighting can be as intense as a loud concert. Flashing lights, strobes and haze appear at times. You may step out if you need a break, and staff will guide you back in.
Good to know
- Enter the Green Fairy Garden from the east side of the Roman Plaza, across from Hell's Kitchen, at the corner of Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.
- Entry into the tent is step-free, and rows A-H are step-free too. There are 10 wheelchair spaces per show, and staff can meet you at the entrance and walk you to your seat.
- ASL interpretation, in-ear audio description and CART captioning must be requested 72 hours ahead by calling 1-888-966-0404.
- There are no restrooms, elevators or coat check in the venue. The nearest accessible restroom is in the Caesars main lobby past Cafe Americano, and large bags have nowhere to be stored.

What are Absinthe's showtimes?
Spiegelworld lists shows Sunday through Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The box office opens at noon Sunday through Thursday and stays open until 30 minutes after the second show. On Friday and Saturday it runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Can teenagers see Absinthe?
No. Absinthe is strictly 18 and over because of adult language and content, and Spiegelworld says there are no exceptions for minors. Bring photo ID, since age checks may happen at the showroom entrance. The Impresario's Reserve and Gazillac VIP packages include alcohol service and are limited to guests 21 and over.
Where exactly is the Absinthe tent?
The tent stands on the Roman Plaza in front of Caesars Palace, at 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, near Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. It sits inside the Green Fairy Garden. You enter the garden from the east side of the Roman Plaza, directly across from Hell's Kitchen. The plaza is ADA compliant.
How much do Absinthe tickets cost?
Spiegelworld's show page says tickets start at $135.04 with fees included, and prices vary by date, showtime and seat. Its ticket terms separately state that seat prices include taxes only and that service and handling fees may apply, so check the final total at checkout. All sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges.
Will I be pulled into the show?
Possibly. Spiegelworld's sensory warning says some acts include audience interaction and/or physical contact, and the host's crowd work is a signature part of the show. The staging is up close and in the round. If you have concerns about content or where you sit, call the box office at (888) 966-0404 to arrange special seating.
