About

Zombie Burlesque is an adult comedy musical set in 1958, in a world the undead have taken over. In its storyline, the US President has made a peace deal with the zombies, and as a goodwill gesture they open Club Z, their nightclub, to living guests. The show is that night at the club.

The numbers mix burlesque, songs, comedy and variety acts, including balance and strength feats. Many routines are homages to horror films of the 1940s, 50s and 60s. A live band plays the score. It comes from the team behind VEGAS! THE SHOW, which plays at the Saxe Theater in the same mall.

The show plays at the V Theater inside the Miracle Mile Shops. The official FAQ describes it as more camp and comedy than horror.

What to expect

Think of a retro nightclub revue with zombie makeup, 1950s styling and a live band, not a haunted house. Songs, dance numbers and comedy bits are linked by the Club Z story. Variety acts are mixed in, and dark humour and innuendo run throughout. The official FAQ says it leans toward laughs rather than scares.

It is an adult show. The producers note language and adult themes, and their FAQ mentions mild nudity. It runs 75 minutes with no intermission. Seating comes in two sections: Rear, in the back half of the room, and VIP, in the front half. You pick the section and the theater assigns the best seats left in it when you book.

Questions about Zombie Burlesque

When does Zombie Burlesque play?

The show's own site lists performances Monday through Saturday at 8 PM at the V Theater inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. That means no Sunday show. The V Theater listing gives the time as 8 PM, so check the ticketing calendar for your date before you plan around it.

What is the minimum age for Zombie Burlesque?

The producers say it is not recommended for guests under 16, because of language and adult themes. Their FAQ also mentions mild nudity and describes the show as best for adults. It is a recommendation, not a strict ID rule, so parents of older teens should judge the content before booking.

Is Zombie Burlesque scary?

Not really. The official FAQ describes it as camp comedy with zombie characters rather than horror. The story is set in 1958 at Club Z, a zombie nightclub, and many numbers parody classic horror films from the 1940s to the 1960s. Expect innuendo and dark jokes, not jump scares.

How long is the show and is there an intermission?

Zombie Burlesque runs 75 minutes with no intermission. The 8 PM show ends at about 9:15 PM. The theater has bars on site, so you can pick up a drink before the show and take it to your seat. Outside drinks and food are not allowed in the showroom.

What is the difference between Rear and VIP seats?

Rear seating is in the back half of the showroom and VIP is in the front half. You choose the section, and the theater gives you the best seats left in it when you book. Online prices on the official ticketing page start at $59.98 for Rear and $79.98 for VIP.
