About

The High Roller is the observation wheel at The LINQ, in the center of the Las Vegas Strip. Caesars Entertainment, which runs it, gives its height as 550 feet from the ground to the top of the highest cabin and calls it the largest observation wheel in North America.

The wheel carries 28 enclosed cabins. Each one can hold up to 40 people, so a full revolution can carry 1,120 riders. One revolution takes 30 minutes. The wheel turns slowly enough that guests board and leave without it stopping.

Cabins are climate controlled, so the ride runs year-round. Beyond standard rides, the operator offers Happy Half Hour cabins with a bartender, private cabins, private bar cabins, birthday packages, weddings, corporate events and custom lighting of the wheel.

What to expect

You step into a glass-walled cabin as it moves past the loading platform. Each cabin has two benches, so you can sit for the ride or stand at the transparent walls. Over the 30-minute rotation the cabin climbs to the top and back down, with views in every direction over the Strip and the valley.

The ride itself lasts about 30 minutes, but the operator suggests planning for at least an hour to get on and off. Daytime tickets cover the afternoon. Anytime tickets are valid until close, including after dark. In a Happy Half Hour cabin, guests 21 and over get an open bar and a bartender for the full rotation.
