About

Grand Canal Shoppes is the shopping center inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas on the Strip. It is themed on Venice, and an indoor Grand Canal runs through the middle of the mall, crossed by bridges and lined with shops and cafés.

The mall's site says it has more than 160 stores and more than a dozen restaurants, along with daily live entertainment and an Atrium with a waterfall and garden. Seating areas sit along the canal, in St. Mark's Square, around The Wishing Tree and in the Sky Garden. Brookfield Properties' GGP operates the center.

Gondola rides are run by The Venetian Resort. Singing gondoliers take boats either along the indoor canal through the shops or outside on the resort's lagoon, which faces the Strip.

What to expect

Inside, the shops are arranged along the canal, with elevators on the Retail Level near Burberry. Stores range from luxury labels such as Burberry and Michael Kors to a food court with Johnny Rockets, and there are full-service restaurants such as SUSHISAMBA and Buddy V's Ristorante. There is no outdoor dining.

A gondola ride lasts about 10 to 13 minutes. Shared boats take up to four people at $39 each, with $34 pricing on select weekdays; a private gondola is $156. Advance tickets are sold online up to 60 days ahead. Same-day tickets are sold only in person at Emporio d'Gondola or the outdoor booth, first come, first served. The last boat leaves 15 minutes before closing. The outdoor ride is seasonal and depends on the weather; if it closes, outdoor tickets can be used indoors.
