About
The SEMA Show is a business-to-business trade show for the specialty automotive aftermarket: parts distributors and retailers, repair, collision and customization shops, vehicle builders, wheel, tire and off-road businesses, and trade media. It is run by SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association, and fills the Las Vegas Convention Center for four days every autumn.
SEMA was founded in 1963. Its first official show was held in January 1967 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, with 98 booths and more than 3,000 attendees. The show moved to Las Vegas in 1977, and SEMA Fest, a music and car-culture festival, was added in 2023.
SEMA says the show draws more than 153,000 industry professionals and more than 2,300 exhibiting companies, and offers more than 90 free education sessions. AAPEX, a separate aftermarket show, runs the same week at the Venetian Expo.
What to expect
From Tuesday to Thursday the halls are open only to registered trade attendees, who must prove they own or work for an active aftermarket business. Review of registration documents can take up to two weeks, and consumers and enthusiasts are not eligible for a trade badge.
Friday, November 6 is the one public day, with the show floor open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. That evening SEMA Fest, a concert and car-culture festival, takes place in the convention center's Bronze Lot. A show badge does not include the concert, and a concert-only ticket does not include the halls.

- There is no parking at the convention center for SEMA Fest. Show management recommends rideshare, taxi or the Las Vegas Monorail; rides between the campus's Vegas Loop stations are free.
